Ways to Get Connected

Soup & Chili Cook-Off

This Sunday, Ignite Youth Ministry invites you to participate in our Soup and Chili Cook-off. With the general admission fee of $5 you will be given two votes to cast for your favorite chili and your favorite soup. If you would like to sway the vote and feel generous in supporting the youth ministry, you may purchase more voting tickets. There will also be cornbread and desserts available. You did not need to sign up to attend this event so do not hesitate joining us immediately after worship concludes. All funds raised will go to support the Ignite Youth Ministry. Please see Abby Peper for more information.

College Student care packages

We have an opportunity to support our seven college students. Please stop by the table in the lobby area where we have placed a “Care Package” for each student and sign their cards with some encouraging comments for their upcoming finals. We are in need of some items to send to them. If you’d like to provide something, examples of what you could bring would be a roll of quarters, gift cards (Starbucks, Fast food, etc), small snack packs, peanut butter snack crackers, candy, Bath & Body items, Small Kleenex pack, hand sanitizer, gum, car wash tokens, Chapstick, protein bars, etc. These care packages will be sent no later than December 4th. Please see Carol Hudson or Abby Peper for more information.

Faithbridge Family Christmas Party

Have you invited a friend or two to join us on Friday, December 15th for our Christmas party yet? Remember to sign up in the church lobby for the pot-luck and sign up to purchase show tickets for the group rate. This is the perfect time to reach out and invite your friends and neighbors.

Christmas Pictures

Have you given Tina your fun, family Christmas photos? You can submit them electronically via email, or just drop them at her desk and she’ll return them once they have been scanned.

Pastor’s Piece

There are a lot of rules in life that we are supposed to know and abide by: rules about driving, rules about money, rules about behavior, etc. Many people believe that being a Christian means that you have to take on even more rules in your life. John Welsey, the founder of the Methodist movement, had what he called 3 “General Rules” for Methodists. These rules were do good, do no harm, and stay in love with God. This week, we’re going to launch into Rueben Job’s book about Wesley’s 3 General Rules and learn what they have to say about God and what they have to say about our lives.

Blessed to bless,

Pastor Andy
