Ways to Get Connected

say “Cheese”!

This Sunday, December 3rd and on December 17th, we will be taking photos for the church directory. If you’d like to be included or have an updated photo taken, we will be in the Community Room immediately following the service both days.

Poinsettias for the holidays

Continuing a tradition started last year at Faithbridge, we are asking for poinsettia donations to brighten the building throughout the Christmas season. They may be tagged in memory of a loved one and placed near the fountain or the worship center entrance.

Anyone providing a poinsettia is encouraged to take the plant home after the Christmas Eve service or the following Tuesday. Those remaining will be donated to a local nursing home.

Christmas Cookies

As in past years, we will be collecting and distributing cookies to those people who serve the community by working the midnight shift on Christmas Eve. This includes fire, ambulance, and police stations, toll bridge workers, and others. If you are able to bake goodies for the care packages which will be delivered on Christmas Eve or help with delivery, please sign up in the church lobby this Sunday.

For more information please contact Ginger Henry at (573) 619-5204 or Samantha Marsicovetere at (573) 280-3198.

Christmas Bell Ringing

We could still use more help with the Salvation Army bell ringing program this holiday season. Please sign up in the church lobby if you are available to help. Faithbridge will be covering Fridays through December 22nd.

Faithbridge Family Christmas Party

It’s not too late to invite a friend or two to join us on Friday, December 15th for our Christmas party? This is the perfect time to reach out and invite your friends and neighbors.

Hope House Volunteer Days

The next Hope House Volunteer Days are November 29th (Wed.), December 1st (Fri.) and 2nd (Sat.) from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m

Christmas Eve Service

We hope to see you at 6:30PM on Sunday, December 24th for our Christmas Eve Candlelight service. This will replace our usual Sunday morning service.

Pastor’s Piece

Is it that time again? Can it really be that the Christmas season is here with all of this warm weather? So much seems to have happened in our world and our lives since we last celebrated Christmas, and it can be therapeutic to think about all of it sometimes!

Kristen and I have had many great things happen over the past year. We moved to the Lake, joined together in ministry with you at Faithbridge Church, bought a house, and welcomed baby Nathan into our family- just to name a few. I expect that you’ve also had many moments that you too can thank God for.

We’ve also had moments that have left us nervous, worried, grieving, and hurting. Many of us have experienced pain and loss in our own lives. There is plenty of pain visible in the lives of those around us in the world.

And yet, the Christmas season comes to us this year reminding us of the promises of hope, peace, joy, and love of our Savior. I invite you to plan to be with us every Sunday in December as we walk through the scriptures alongside Mary, Joseph, and the other memorable Christmas story characters. I pray that you will draw closer to Christ this Christmas season through the messages, stories, and songs of Christmas.

Blessed to bless,

Pastor Andy
