Pastor’s Piece

“We always thank God for all of you when we mention you constantly in our prayers. This is because we remember your work that comes from faith, your effort that comes from love, and your perseverance that comes from hope in our Lord Jesus Christ in the presence of our God and Father.”  (1 Thessalonians 1:2-3)

This scripture does such a great job at describing how I feel as your pastor.  I always thank God for all of you in my prayers because of the faith and hope that you have in Christ Jesus.  This week, especially, I wish blessings on you as you gather with family and friends and reflect on this past year with gratitude toward God for the ways that He has blessed you.  Jesus doesn’t promise an easy road in this life for any of us, but rather promises to be with us upon the journey.  I take great comfort in that, and in knowing that Christ walks with me even in the most difficult days.

Whatever paths you have walked this past year, may you truly thank God for the ways that He has provided for you, and may you share this gratitude with those who are closest to you.  God bless you, and may you truly be a blessing to others.

  Ways to Get Connected

Volunteers Needed

The next Hope House Volunteer Days are November 28th (Wed.), 30th (Fri.) and December 1st (Sat.) from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Christmas at Faithbridge

Invite your neighbors to our choir’s performance of “Sing Joy”, a contemporary Christmas cantata. They will be presenting this special music on December 9th during the morning service.

Also, on that same day, we will go as a church family to the Main Street Music Hall for the “Christmas on Main Street” show. The Music Hall has offered a special group rate for members of Faithbridge.  If you are interested in coming along, please sign up this Sunday in the church lobby or let Tina know so a seat can be reserved for you. The show begins at 3:00 PM. To receive the group rate you must purchase your tickets through the church office.  We hope you will be able to join us!

Continuing a tradition at Faithbridge we are inviting you to bring poinsettias to brighten the building throughout the Christmas season. They may be tagged in memory of a loved one and placed near the fountain or the entrance to the worship center.

Holiday Hours

Remember, this week the office will be closed on Wednesday and Thursday in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday. We apologize for any inconvenience, and wish everyone a blessed Thanksgiving!
