This week we’ll be continuing our sermon series, “The 5th Gospel,” as we journey together to the Galilee region of Israel. The Galilee region was where Jesus grew up. This is where he lived and worked. This is where his friends and disciples were from. The Galilee was the land that Jesus knew intimately. It was also the region where He did the majority of His ministry. Join us at church on Sunday as we explore the Galilee region and the important moments in Jesus’ life and ministry that happened in this very special place. I wanted to share some exciting news with you! First, our Faithbridge Church Board went on a retreat about a week ago and came back re-energized and excited about the ministry that God has called us to here at the Lake. They believe that God is calling us to reach a whole lot more people for Christ in the next couple of years- and I agree with them. In order to help us carry out the mission we believe God is calling us to, we are going to be hiring for 3 new part-time staff positions. These will include a Family Ministries Coordinator, a Graphic Design and Publicity Coordinator, and Director of Worship Arts. For more information and a description of these positions, please go to: http://www.faithbridgelakechurch.com/job-openings/ If you know someone who we need to be considering, please pass this link along to them ASAP!
Another bit of exciting news- our District Superintendent (aka, my boss) has asked our church to partner in ministry with the United Methodist Church in Iberia, MO. Essentially I will be providing some leadership to the congregation and I will be helping to train and develop their new pastor. Her name is Tricia Quist. Tricia will officially be a member of our church’s staff as an Associate Pastor, but she will be spending 95% of her time in Iberia, and she’s going to be on the Iberia church’s payroll.
The benefits to our church are that we will be preaching the same sermon series, so if I get sick, we have a
I am excited about what God has in store for us at Faithbridge Church. Please be praying for your church, for God to bring us the right people for these new staff positions, and be praying for our sister congregation in Iberia as well.
