Newsletter Week of June 29

Good News for Wednesday, July 1st

Pastor’s Piece

“When you pray, don’t pour out a flood of empty words, as the Gentiles do. They think that by saying many words they’ll be heard. Don’t be like them, because your Father knows what you need before you ask. Pray like this…”     (Matthew 6:7-9a)

Do this.  Don’t do that.  Essentially this is how Jesus talked about prayer.  He said that there is a good way to pray and then there are other ways that don’t honor God.  This teaching took place during the Sermon on the Mount in Matthew 6:5-15.  Join us Sunday as we walk through Jesus’ instructions on prayer and the famous prayer that we call “The Lord’s Prayer” today.

Blessings in the wilderness, Pastor Andy Blacksher

Online worship details
If you plan to worship online with us this week you have 3 options.  Join us on Facebook Live at 9:30am on Sundays, or watch anytime on our website  faithbridgelakechurch.com, or join us at our new online campus at  https://forthelake.online.church/ on Mondays at 9:30am & 2pm, Wednesday at 7pm (eventually we will add Sunday times as well).

In-person worship details If you’re ready, we’re ready!  In-person worship services have resumed.  Seating is limited, however, and you’ll need to make a reservation to ensure we will have a seat for you.  You can MAKE YOUR RESERVATION HERE:  https://faithbridgechurch.churchcenter.com/registrations

Keep in mind that this isn’t “church as usual.”  We have adapted and made provisions to provide a safe environment for worship.  It will look and feel very different than what you remember, but if you are ready to come back, we are ready for you!

Hospitality & Sanitation Team

This group comes to worship early each Sunday to greet other worshipers and to sanitize the building following each Sunday morning service. It is an easy task, but so very important. If you might be interested in helping out, please reply to this email and let Tina know.
