Pastor Andy Blacksher has a passion for reaching people with the message of Christ- especially those who have not had good experiences with church and with the next generations. He describes himself as a team-oriented, strategic thinking, and visionary leader. Andy has served as a worship leader, Christian summer camp worker, youth pastor, and pastor for more than ten years. He graduated college at Missouri State University (BS) and went to seminary at Saint Paul School of Theology (M.Div). Andy met his wife Kristen in college at MSU, and they were married in 2010. They have a son, Zachary, who will turn 3 in August, and they are expecting their second child (a boy) in October.
Christian Education Minister:
Abby Peper, a native of Jefferson City, Missouri is a recent graduate of Central Methodist University where she attained a Bachelors Degree in Religion and Church Leadership. While in college she worked in a number of ministry settings ranging from youth ministry to college ministry to camp ministry, all the way in Minnesota. She served as the summer intern at Faithbridge her first two years of college and is thrilled to return full-time. She is excited to be in service to this church and to partner with the community to help form intentional followers of Christ. In her free time she enjoys exploring nature by either hiking or biking.
Tina Melville comes to the lake from the Kansas City area, where she recently retired her position as the Registrar at the UMKC School of Law. Prior to that, she enjoyed many years as a music teacher. Tina received her Bachelors Degree in Music Education and Masters Degree in Education Administration at the University of Missouri, Kansas City. Tina and her husband Larry have two children, Ben and Samantha. Samantha and her husband Aaron just recently gave Tina her first grandchild, Jackson. Her children and grandchild all live in Florida, so she enjoys trips to the sunshine state for visits. Tina is excited to be serving at Faithbridge Church.
