Newsletter Week of July 17th

Mission Update

Join us Sunday, July 30th immediately following the service for the Mission Team Report. There will be a luncheon so the Mission Team can share the impact of their trip to San Marcos, Texas. We especially want to invite our trip sponsors.

Conversations with the Pastor

Please take a moment to sign up for a small group meeting. It’s a chance to sit down in a small group setting to talk with Pastor Andy in a restaurant or home to just to share your vision for the future of Faithbridge. There are several different dates and times available for your convenience. Sign-up sheets are available in the church lobby.

Ladies Bible Study

Our Ladies Bible Study will begin again on Tuesday, September 5th. They will be studying 1 Peter: A living Hope in Christ by Jen Wilkin. Our inheritance through Christ is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading. In 1 Peter, a man of faith and flaws and eyewitness to the life of Christ challenges us to look beyond our current circumstances to a future inheritance. He shares his concerns on big picture issues for the early church, describes believers’ true identity in Christ, and ultimately helps readers discover what it means to experience the Living Hope they have in Christ.

Please sign up in the office or email Beth Halsell at dwhbbh@charter.net if you would like to participate so we can order enough books.

Ways to Get Connected

The next Hope House Volunteer Days are August 2nd (Wed.), 4th (Fri.), 5th (Sat.), and 30th (Wed.) from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

The Hospitality Team is looking for a few friendly people. If you might have an interest in joining the team, please contact the church office, or email Bonnie Wood at bdwood2@yahoo.com for more information.

Pastor’s Piece

This week we’ll explore another of my favorite scripture passages, Genesis 1:25-31. This scripture tells us that we are created in the image of God. What exactly does that mean? Do we look like God? Or even scarier, does God look like us? What does it really mean to be made in God’s image? Join us for the conversation on Sunday at 9:45am.

Blessed to bless,

Pastor Andy
