Newsletter Week of March 25th

Pastor’s Piece If the Bible is one grand story, then Exodus is the Rising Action. You remember those elements of a story from middle school. Here is the basic definition of Rising Action: During the Rising Action, the basic conflict is complicated by the introduction of secondary conflicts including various obstacles that frustrate the protagonist’s attempt to reach his or her goal.
The basic goal of the people in the God Story to this point can be defined as their attempt to reconnect with God, whom they were separated from because of the choices they made in the Garden of Eden.  In Exodus, we hear of all the frustrations and obstacles that were thrown in the way of the people of God reaching their goal.
Perhaps you can relate.  You want to grow in your relationship with God, but life keeps getting more difficult and is throwing you curveballs you could have never anticipated or imagined.  Where is God when life gets in the way?  Join us in church on Sunday as we explore the answer to this question and more in the book of Exodus.
