Newsletter Week of October 5

Good News for Friday, October 9th

Pastor’s Piece

We posted the scripture above recently on our church Facebook page.  It is part of an effort to share messages from scripture about the importance of unity every day on our Facebook site for the next couple of months.  I hope that these posts encourage you, and I invite you to share these posts as a way of sharing a positive message of unity with our community, in our nation.  Never underestimate what can happen when we all join together to send a positive Biblical message of hope out into the world!

As the pandemic continues to roll along, we have had even more people diagnosed with COVID in our own congregation.  Please pray especially for Bob Schlutow and Mona Poole this week.  Bob is fighting the disease at home, and is doing well (and his wife Kathi has recovered).  Mona has had a severe case and has been hospitalized- she needs our prayers at this time.  Please continue to be careful, stay safe, and reach out to the church or me personally if there is anything we can help with.

This weekend will be our final message on the Psalms.  I love the Psalms for so many reasons, and our chapter for this week is no exception- Psalm 23.  Join us for great worship music, a thoughtful sermon, and a chance to see just how long one of our members’ beards has gotten in the midst of this pandemic!

Join us at our “Online Campus” this Sunday at 9:30am  at forthelake.online.church as we worship together.  Invite a friend!  And if you aren’t able to join us on Sunday mornings, you can join in anytime via our church website

Blessings in the wilderness,

Pastor Andy Blacksher
